Bonjour et bienvenue à tous les passionnés de claviers et de l'orgue Hammond.

C'est avec plaisir que j'ouvre cette rubrique consacrée à l'orgue et au "son" Hammond, instrument magique et mythique créé par Laurens HAMMOND, à qui je tiens à rendre un grand hommage aujourd'hui en rédigeant cet édito.

L'orgue HAMMOND continuera toujours à être un instrument emblématique, ne serait-ce que par l'héritage musical que nous ont légué les plus grands organistes-claviéristes de jazz et de rock de ce siècle.
Il nous faut pouvoir le préserver ne serait-ce que par notre passion en transmettant autour de nous toute la chaleur et la beauté du "son" qui ont traversé les époques depuis plus de 80 ans.

Une petite présentation de ma part est requise afin de pouvoir évoquer ce qui nous a amené avec mes ami(e)s, Anne SABATER-GOMEZ, claviériste et bassiste, Jacques CORBIN, organiste passionné, Daniel DUBAELE, Claviériste et Batteur,  Bruno MICHELI, artiste de scène harmoniciste - pianiste - organiste, Stéphane NICAULT professeur de piano, pianiste talentueux, et Vincent BESANCON guitariste passionné de synthétiseurs, à créer ce forum dédié principalement à l'orgue Hammond

Dès l'âge de six ans le violon a été mon tout premier instrument, il m'a été enseigné à la Schola de Musique de Nice "Alberte ALZIARI-André NADA", par le Professeur André NADA, qui a su avec beaucoup de tact, de patience et de dévouement enseigner la pratique du violon à ses élèves et c'est avec émotion que je voudrai aujourd'hui lui rendre un hommage, car grâce à lui, j'ai pu découvrir, apprécier et apprivoiser cet instrument, ainsi que les œuvres symphoniques qui m'ont énormément séduites dont particulièrement le concerto n°1 pour piano et orchestre de Tchaïkovski qui reste mon préféré, ce qui très probablement m'a amené plus tard à l'initiation au piano.

Durant mes 9 années de violon, j'ai eu le privilège et la chance de connaître Yehudi Menuhin, ca a été un grand moment pour un enfant alors âgé de 10 ans.

Dans ma 12ème année, mes parents ont déménagé dans le Var, et m'ont inscrit à l'école de musique de Saint-Raphaël.
Ayant changé de professeur, j'ai été conduit dans le courant de ma 15ème année à arrêter le violon. Cette rupture a été nette car j'ai perdu le Maître qui avait su m'enseigner le violon dans toute sa complexité, et c'est alors que j'ai déposé mon archet définitivement pour apprendre le piano qui m'a toujours attiré, et de plus, étant un instrument polyphonique, il apporte une dimension différente à celle du violon qui reste un instrument monophonique, mais d'une majestueuse sonorité quant on sait l'apprivoiser et le faire chanter.

C'est alors que le professeur de piano qui me suivait, me voyant apprécier non seulement la musique classique mais également les comédies musicales et le Jazz que j'ai découvert au travers des disques de mon père, m'a confié un vinyle de Jimmy SMITH dont il était fan.
J'ai été immédiatement attiré par le "Son" particulièrement expressif de l'orgue Hammond qui a provoqué en l'écoutant, une sensation de bien être musical qui m'a séduit à la fois par la douceur, la chaleur et la mouvance qui en ressortaient.

Je venais de découvrir alors, le légendaire et mythique B3 puis tout s'est enchaîné rapidement  
J'ai économisé pour me constituer petit à petit la discographie de Rhoda Scott,  Eddy Louiss et de Jimmy Smith qui ont été pour moi les organistes m'ayant donner l'envie de jouer de l'orgue depuis l'âge de 16 ans. Certes, ca n'était pas un Hammond, et j'ai donc commencé mon apprentissage avec ceci:

Je voudrais également rendre un grand hommage à mon Maître, Pierre SPIERS qui m'a enseigné la pratique de l'orgue à Paris de 1974 à 1978, son enseignement et son dévouement ont été pour moi très enrichissants, j'ai conservé ses méthodes depuis toutes ces années, et je garderai au fond de moi un très grand souvenir d'un homme passionné à vouloir enseigner la technique de l'orgue à ses élèves.

Voilà pour ma contribution afin que vous puissiez évaluer l'attachement que j'apporte à la musique et au "son" majestueux de l'orgue HAMMOND qui aujourd'hui me comble de satisfaction et me permet de voyager musicalement au gré de mes envies et de mes émotions,  en fin de compte, comme beaucoup de musiciens je suppose  

J'évoquerai volontiers avec vous mon parcours depuis cette épopée du violon au piano qui m'a conduit à l'orgue HAMMOND ceci au travers des thématiques appropriées, et dans le fil de nos échanges.

Je tiens sincèrement à remercier André THUS organiste et Ambassadeur incontesté pour la France de l'orgue HAMMOND pour m'avoir remis le pied à l'étrier après 18 années pendant lesquelles je me suis consacré essentiellement au piano, ainsi que Anne qui m’accompagne depuis le début de l'aventure, Daniel qui m'a aidé à l'étude de ce projet bien avant sa réalisation et y a contribué dès le départ, Stéphane et Vincent qui ont contribués efficacement et avec beaucoup de compétences, de dévouement et d'amitié à la création de ce forum dont ils sont les techniciens. ainsi que Jacques qui nous a rejoint dans l'équipe dès l'ouverture du forum et enfin Bruno qui m'a fait l'amitié de nous rejoindre et qui a réalisé le groupe Facebook de l'univers de l'orgue Hammond.

C'est notre passion de la musique, des claviers, et bien entendu de l'orgue Hammond qui un jour nous ont réunis, et nous sommes heureux aujourd'hui de pouvoir vous inviter à nous rejoindre dans ce bel univers au sein duquel nous vous accueillons très chaleureusement afin de partager ce qui vous a amené à vous intéresser à l'orgue Hammond en évoquant si vous le souhaitez, votre parcours, et votre expérience.

The HAMMOND organ will always be an emblematic instrument, if only because of the musical heritage bequeathed to us by the greatest jazz and rock organists of this century.
We must be able to preserve it, if only through our passion, by transmitting to those around us all the warmth and beauty of the "sound" that has crossed the ages for more than 80 years.

A small presentation of my part is required in order to be able to evoke what led me and my friends, Anne SABATER-GOMEZ, keyboardist and bassist, Jacques CORBIN, passionate organist, Daniel DUBAELE, keyboardist and drummer, Bruno MICHELI, artist of scene harmonicist - pianist - organist, Stéphane NICAULT piano teacher, talented pianist, and Vincent BESANCON guitarist passionate about synthesizers, to create this forum dedicated mainly to the Hammond organ

From the age of six the violin was my very first instrument, it was taught to me at the Schola de Musique de Nice "Alberte ALZIARI-André NADA", by Professor André NADA, who knew with a lot of tact, patience and devotion how to teach the practice of the violin to his pupils and it is with emotion that I would like to pay a tribute to him today It is with emotion that I would like to pay tribute to him today, because thanks to him, I was able to discover, appreciate and tame this instrument, as well as the symphonic works that seduced me enormously, particularly Tchaikovsky's concerto n°1 for piano and orchestra, which remains my favorite, and which probably led me later to the initiation of the piano.

During my 9 years of violin, I had the privilege and the chance to meet Yehudi Menuhin, that was a great moment for a child then 10 years old.

I was immediately attracted by the particularly expressive "sound" of the Hammond organ which provoked a feeling of musical well-being while listening to it, which seduced me at the same time by the softness, the warmth and the movement which emerged from it.

I had just discovered then, the legendary and mythical B3 then all followed quickly
I saved money to build up little by little the discography of Rhoda Scott, Eddy Louiss and Jimmy Smith were for me the organists who gave me the desire to play the organ since the age of 16. Of course, it wasn't a Hammond, so I started my apprenticeship with this:
